ARBs Installed in La Castellana
A total of 13.30 hectares of land were awarded to 13 Agrarian
Reform Beneficiaries of Had. Espinos in Brgy. Robles, La Castellana
on November 24, a press release from the Provincial Agrarian Reform
Office-Negros Occidental said.
They were installed in simple rites led by Municipal Agrarian
Reform Officer Nelda Salmorin and Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer
I Manuel Velasco.
The beneficiaries, who are members of Task Force Mapalad, were
installed in the property formerly owned by the Espinos Agro-Industrial
Corp. that was covered by the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program
under the Compulsory Acquisition scheme, the press release said.
They already possess the 1.30 hectares since 2003 and an additional
11 hectares were added last week, it added.

DISTRIBUTION IN MANAPLA
Forty-nine (49) Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) received their Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs)
last October 25, 2005 at Hda. Salome, Brgy. San Pablo, Manapla,
Negros Occidental.
The Collective CLOA covers 86 hectares of land formerly owned
by Salome Agro Industrial Corporation (SAIDC) and was placed under
Comprehensive Agrarian reform Program (CARP) through Voluntary
Offer to Sell (VOS) by its president, Atty. Simplicio Palanca.
The simple ceremony was attended by no less than the mayor of Manapla, Manuel Escalante III, San Pablo Village Chief Josefa
M. Cabayao, Atty. Restituto Villanueva, Leagal Counsel of SAIDC
Sam Lorenze and representative of lessee, Ray Bantug.
